The Vesper has its origin story in an actual James Bond story, Ian Fleming's 1953 novel Casino Royale. 007 himself orders the drink, named for double agent Vesper Lynd, as follows:  “Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?” Ours is slightly evolved, but no less seductive.

1 ½ oz London Dry Gin

½ oz Vodka

¼ oz Kina Aperitif

2 dashes Orange Bitters

Shake/Strain into Coupe or Martini Glass.  Garnish with Lemon Twist.
