Inspired by Tom Kha soup, I wanted to take the classic Flip concept for a bit of a journey. 

It's boozy, sweet, spicy, herbaceous and somewhat creamy. 

You want this. You absolutely want this!


2½ oz Coconut milk

2 oz Hendricks Midsummer Solstice

½ oz L’apothicaire Mystérieux lemongrass and ginger syrup

½ oz lime juice

2 tsp galangal

2 tsp ginger

1 Thai chili pepper

1 kaffir lime leaf

2 medium size thai basil leaves


Muddle galangal, fresh ginger, Thai basil and chili pepper in shaker. Add the other ingredients. Dry shake for at least 15 seconds. Add ice and shake for another 15 seconds. Double strain into coupe. Garnish with lime leaf, chili’s, lime zest

This drink can also be made with tum yum syrup as demonstrated in the video.
