National drink of Martinique and popular throughout the French West Indies.

Ingredients

1 ½ oz Neisson Rhum Blanc

¼ oz Petit Canne Syrup

1 lime disc

Instructions

Build in an old fashioned glass.  Squeeze the lime disc to express the oils into and around the inside of the glass and then drop into the glass.  Add a small handful of crushed ice and stir to chill and dillute.  No garnish.

The lime disc is a small cut from the outside of the lime.  You want a very small amount of interior flesh while mostly using it to express oils from the outside skin.
