As with many classic cocktails, the origin story of the Daiquiri is difficult to confirm. It's said it was invented in 1898 and is called "Daiquiri" because that was the name of the Cuban town where it was created. The king of cocktail sours is incredibly simple to make, comprising three simple ingredients. But as with all cocktails, it is the balance that gives it its glory.

2 oz White Rum

1 oz Lime Juice

¾ oz Simple Syrup

Shake/Strain into Coupe. Garnish with Lime Wheel or Lime Twist.
