Coupe De Ta!

I was trying to find something appropriate to drink during the change of administrations.  I came up with this.  I've never seen a spicy orange cocktail before, but hey, now one exists!


2 oz Russian Vodka (This drink has a strong Russian influence)  

¾ oz Orange Curacao (Orange is self explanatory)  

½ oz Maraschino Liqueur  

Dropper full - Dashfire Old Fashioned Bitters  (You can substitute Angostura, but I recommend the Dashfire)  

5 drops Inflammatory Tincure*


Stir with ice to chill things back down a bit, and strain into a coupe. 
Garnish with a flamboyant orange slice.

Inflammatory Tincure

Get about ¼ cup of Thai birdseye chilis, available at most asian markets if not at your local grocery.  Dice into ¼” pieces and soak in ¼ C of vodka for 24 hours.  Strain into dropper bottle.  Adds incredible heat to drinks without changing the flavor.
